Allegany County District Attorney wants a fourth full-time prosecutor

4th Assistant District Attorney Position
District Attorney Keith Slep is requesting permission to abolish one part-time 4th Assistant District Attorney position, and to create one full-time 4th Assistant District Attorney position. The District Attorney’s Office is also requesting to amend the 2019 Section IV Salary Plan to include the annual salary of $85,000 for the new full-time position as well as including it in the 2020 Section IV Salary Plan. Legislator Healy asked County Treasurer Terri Ross if this was included in the budget. Ms. Ross stated that it can be as the 2020 Budget has not been adopted as of yet. This request was approved on a motion made by Legislator Dibble, seconded by Legislator Harris, and carried. Prepare Resolution to Create and Refer to Ways & Means to Fund and Fill
